Privacy and cookie policy

General information

This Privacy and Cookie Policy sets out the rules for the processing and protection of personal data and the use of cookies and other technologies, such as Google Analytics, in connection with the use by Users of the Website, Store, and social media profiles operated by the Administrator.

§1. Definicje

For the purposes of this privacy policy, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

  1. Administrator – RIVBIO sp. z o. o., ul. Marsz. J. Piłsudskiego 74/320, 50-020 Wrocław, NIP: 8971916088, registered in the VI Od. KRS in Wrocław under number 0001010713, share capital: PLN 5,000.
  2. Website – the website available at https://rivbio.com.
  3. Store – the online store available at https://en.rivbio.com/produkty.
  4. User – any entity that views the content of the Website.
  5. GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC.
§2. Personal data
  1. The Administrator is the administrator of the User’s personal data within the meaning of the GDPR.
  2. The User may provide their personal data to the Administrator, among other things, by means of forms available on the Website and in the Store, as well as solutions such as instant messaging and social media profiles.
  3. The legal basis for the processing of Users’ personal data is the voluntary, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent of the User expressed by means of an appropriate form on the Website.

Personal data may also be processed in cases where the Administrator is authorized to process personal data on the basis of legal provisions or for the purpose of performing a contract concluded between the parties, as well as on the basis of a legitimate interest pursued by the administrator.     • Personal data provided to the Administrator by the User in the customer registration form is processed for the purpose of performing the contract concluded through the Store or the Website. This contract is the legal basis for processing (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). The provision of personal data by the User is voluntary, but necessary for the User to conclude a contract with the Controller. This data will be processed for the duration of the order and the fulfillment of the statutory obligations incumbent on the controller (e.g., tax and accounting), as well as in the event of claims.

    • Personal data provided to the Administrator by the User via the contact form or in an email sent to the Administrator’s address provided on the Website is processed for the purpose of responding to the inquiry sent. The provision of personal data by the User is voluntary, but necessary for the User to receive a response. Data processing for this purpose is based on the legitimate interest pursued by the administrator (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). This data will be processed until the end of the correspondence and for 5 years after its completion.
  5. The controller may entrust personal data to other entities with whose help it pursues the objectives indicated in the previous points (e.g., companies providing hosting services, accounting companies, courier companies, companies providing emailing applications).
  6. The User’s personal data will not be transferred to recipients from third countries or international organizations that do not provide an adequate level of protection. An adequate level of protection must be confirmed by a relevant decision of the European Commission or another binding legal instrument.
  7. The administrator guarantees the confidentiality of all personal data provided to him.
  8. Personal data is collected with due care and adequately protected against access by unauthorized persons, and its processing is carried out in accordance with and under the conditions specified in detail in:
    • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC,
    • the Act of July 18, 2002 on the provision of electronic services,
    • the Act of May 10, 2018 on the protection of personal data.
§3. User rights
  1. The user has rights related to the processing of their personal data, including:
    1. the right to acces the data
    2. the right to correct data
    3. the right to restrict data processing
    4. the right to object to data processing
    5. the right to delete data (the so-called right to be forgotten)
    6. the right to transfer data
    7. the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in relation to the processing of personal data by the Administrator
  2. The User has the right to withdraw their consent at any time if the User has previously given it.

§4. Cookies and additional information
  1. When you use the Website, data about you is collected automatically. This data includes, among other things: IP address, domain name, browser type, operating system type. This data may be collected by cookies and may also be stored in server logs.
  2. Cookies are files sent to the User’s computer or other device (e.g., laptop, smartphone, tablet) and stored there while browsing the Website. Cookies remember the User’s preferences and behavior, which allows us to improve the quality of our services, improve search results and the relevance of the information displayed, including advertisements, and anonymously track the User’s preferences. The current list of cookies used on the Website is available via the cookie bar provided on the Website.
  3. The User may express their consent to the use of cookies on their end device by using the cookie bar available on the Website. They may also do so by using the settings of the browser installed on the User’s device. In the same way, the User may withdraw their consent or change its scope at any time.
  4. The User may also delete existing cookies from their device using the appropriate functions of their web browser, programs designed for this purpose, or tools available within the operating system used by the User.
  5. The data stored in server logs or using cookies is not linked by the Administrator in any way to specific Website Users and is not used by the Administrator to identify Users. Server logs are used to administer the Website, and their content is not disclosed to anyone other than persons authorized to administer the server.
  6. The Website uses technologies that anonymously record the actions taken by the User while using the Website. These include: Google Analytics – used to analyze Website statistics.
  7. The data obtained by these tools is not linked in any way to specific Website Users and is not used by the Administrator to identify the User.
  8. The use of the technologies listed in § 3 point 7 will result in the optimization of the Website, its content, and the range of Products to the User’s needs.
§5. The purpose of data use

The data provided by the User or collected automatically by the Administrator is used for the following purposes:

  1. proper functioning, configuration, and security of the Website,
  2. monitoring session status,
  3. analysis, research, and auditing of Website views,
  4. performance of contracts concluded via the Website,
  5. as well as for statistical and marketing purposes.
§6. Final clause
  1. This document may be subject to changes that may be influenced by the development of Internet technology, changes in the law regarding the protection of personal data, and the development of our Website and Store. Any changes will be communicated to Users immediately in a visible and understandable manner.
