Trainings

Enhance your team's qualifications

Personalized trainings

Training conducted in the laboratory and on the equipment that the team works with on a daily basis allows for faster and more effective implementation of the knowledge transferred. Thanks to this, the effects of the training are more quickly noticeable in the work of the team. There is no need to transfer the specifics of the work from one laboratory, where the training took place, to the specifics of the work of the laboratory where the individual performs research on a daily basis.

Trainings with Rivbio

For institutions that would like to improve the qualifications of their employees, we offer the possibility of conducting closed training courses in qPCR (Real Time PCR) technology and related areas (e.g., nucleic acid extraction from specific material) in their own laboratories.

Extraction of nucleic acids

You will gain theoretical and practical knowledge about various methods of nucleic acid extraction. You will learn how to select the extraction method for the type of biological material in order to achieve high extraction efficiency and a preparation free of inhibitors, as well as how to collect and protect biological material from degradation. We will also explain how to improve the quality of the obtained nucleic acid preparation.

The qPCR technique in molecular diagnostics

You will gain theoretical and practical knowledge about the various applications of Real Time PCR technology in molecular diagnostics. We focus on the three most common areas of application, such as the diagnosis of infectious diseases (bacterial, viral), parasitic diseases (e.g., parasites of the digestive system), and the diagnosis of mutations and genetic predispositions. An interesting example is the use of qPCR for the quantitative determination of a marker of the carcinogenesis process.

Genotyping using Real Time PCR technology

During the class, you will learn how to use the qPCR technique to determine the genotype of a specific DNA region. The theoretical part of the class covers genotyping methods using various molecular techniques. In the practical part, you will independently perform genotyping of selected polymorphisms using various techniques based on Real Time PCR (HRM, AS-qPCR, Taqman probe genotyping).

Quantitative determination of nucleic acids

During the classes, you will gain theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of quantitative nucleic acid determination. The two most common applications of quantitative determination are gene expression analysis (determining relative changes in the level of specific transcripts using a “relative quantification” approach) and determining the amount of specific microorganisms in the test material (“absolute quantification” analysis). You will learn how to prepare standard curves, design and perform an experiment, and how to read and compile its results.

Questions and answers

FAQ

Yes. The training program and the scope of practical and theoretical issues covered are tailored to the individual needs of the person/group of people participating in it.

You send us the range of topics or areas of application that interest you. Based on the information you provide, we send you a proposed training program divided into theoretical and practical topics. The proposed program is a starting point for further discussions. We strive to tailor the training program to your needs, taking into account technical limitations (e.g., availability of reagents, equipment capabilities).

The cost of training is calculated after agreeing on the training program. This cost also depends on other factors, such as the number of people participating in the training, the list of reagents that we will need to purchase, the duration of the training, and the location where it will be held (travel and accommodation costs for the people who will be conducting the training).

The training schedule is determined based on the agreed training program. We select the schedule so that the agreed scope of practical and theoretical issues can be covered in the shortest possible time. This allows us to optimize training costs.

Yes. We try to adjust the training schedule to suit the availability of those who have signed up for the training.

The duration of the training depends on the agreed program and the type of practical and theoretical issues covered. Typically, training courses last two days. However, we can easily organize shorter (one-day) or longer (e.g., three-day) training courses. (jednodniowego) lub dłuższego (np. trzydniowego).
